Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Get Technologies Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use the Fourfold mobile game on iOS and Android (the “App”) and this website. We are the data controller for the processing described here. If you have any questions, email us at support@get.ng.
1. The short version
- Fourfold has no accounts. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or password.
- Your game progress (levels, stars, streaks, coins, settings) is stored on your device.
- The App shows ads through Google AdMob, uses Google Firebase to deliver daily puzzles and measure usage, AppsFlyer to understand where installs come from, and RevenueCat to process in-app purchases. These services receive device identifiers and technical data as described below.
- You can limit tracking and ad personalization at any time (see section 9).
2. Information stored on your device
Your gameplay progress – completed levels, stars, daily puzzle results, streaks and streak freezes, coin balance, hint counts, purchase status and settings – is saved locally on your device. We do not upload it to our own servers. If you delete the App, this data is deleted too (purchases of Remove Ads and Fourfold Plus can be restored through the store, see our Support page).
3. Information collected by third-party services
The App uses the following service providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy.
Google AdMob (advertising)
If you have not purchased Remove Ads or Fourfold Plus, the App shows banner, interstitial, rewarded and app-open ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS where permitted), IP address, device and app information, and ad interaction data in order to serve, measure and (where you allow it) personalize ads and to prevent fraud.
In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, and in other regions where required, the App uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to ask for your consent before personalized ads are shown, in line with the GDPR and the IAB Transparency & Consent Framework. You can change your choice at any time via Settings → Privacy choices in the App. If you do not consent, Google may still show non-personalized ads, which use limited data (such as approximate location and context) for purposes like frequency capping and fraud prevention.

Google Firebase
- Cloud Firestore – the App downloads the daily puzzles from Firestore. If you choose to report a problem with a puzzle, the report is sent to Firestore. A report contains the puzzle ID, the game mode, the reason you selected, your guesses and number of mistakes in that puzzle, and the time of the report. It does not contain your name or contact details.
- Google Analytics for Firebase – collects usage statistics such as app opens, screens viewed, levels played, purchases made, app version, device model, operating system, country (derived from IP address) and an app-instance identifier. We use this to understand how the game is played and to improve it. Where you have not given consent via ATT (iOS) or where required by law, analytics runs without the advertising identifier.
Learn more: Privacy and security in Firebase.
AppsFlyer (install attribution)
AppsFlyer helps us understand which ads or campaigns lead people to install Fourfold and measure their performance. It may collect the App install and open events, device model, operating system, IP address, app-instance identifiers and, where permitted, the advertising ID. On iOS, AppsFlyer only receives your IDFA if you grant permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt; otherwise it uses Apple’s privacy-preserving attribution methods (such as SKAdNetwork). Learn more: AppsFlyer Services Privacy Policy.
RevenueCat (in-app purchases)
RevenueCat processes and validates purchases of coins, Remove Ads and Fourfold Plus subscriptions, and lets us know which features you have unlocked. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID generated by the App, your purchase receipts and transaction details from the App Store or Google Play (such as product, price, currency and dates), device and app information and IP address. Payment itself is handled by Apple or Google – we and RevenueCat never see your card or bank details. Learn more: RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
Apple Game Center and Google Play Games (leaderboards)
If you are signed in to Game Center (iOS) or Google Play Games (Android), the App submits your scores – longest streak, total stars and levels completed – to leaderboards. Your player name and profile are managed by Apple or Google under their own privacy policies, and other players may see your name and score on leaderboards. You can sign out or change your visibility in your device’s Game Center or Play Games settings.
Notifications
If you allow it, the App schedules local notifications on your device (for example, a reminder that a new daily puzzle is ready or that your streak is about to end). These are created on your device; no push-notification server or token is used, and no data is sent to us for this purpose.
4. How and why we use information
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR / NDPA) |
|---|---|---|
| Provide the game and daily puzzles | Device and app data, on-device progress | Performance of our contract with you |
| Process purchases and restore them | Anonymous app user ID, receipts | Performance of contract; legal obligations (tax, accounting) |
| Show ads | Advertising ID, IP address, device data | Consent (personalized ads); legitimate interests (non-personalized ads, fraud prevention) |
| Analytics and improving the game | Usage events, app-instance ID, device data | Legitimate interests, or consent where required |
| Install attribution | Install events, device data, advertising ID (with permission) | Consent (where the advertising ID is used); legitimate interests otherwise |
| Fix puzzle problems you report | Puzzle report contents | Legitimate interests |
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing of identifiers with advertising partners for personalized ads may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA); you can opt out as described in section 9.
5. Children
Fourfold is a general-audience word game and is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us at support@get.ng and we will take steps to delete it.
6. Data retention
- On-device progress stays on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.
- Puzzle reports are kept only as long as needed to review and fix puzzles, and no longer than 24 months.
- Google Analytics for Firebase data is retained for up to 14 months.
- AdMob, AppsFlyer and RevenueCat retain data according to their own policies; purchase records may be kept for as long as required by tax and accounting laws.
7. International transfers
Our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries outside your own. Where required, such transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms recognised under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
- correct or delete it;
- object to or restrict processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out);
- data portability;
- opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted advertising (California and other US states), without being discriminated against for doing so;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – for example your local EU/UK data protection authority, or the Nigeria Data Protection Commission under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
These rights apply under the EU and UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA and similar US state laws, and the NDPA. Because Fourfold has no accounts, we usually cannot link data to you by name. To exercise a right, email support@get.ng; we may ask for information such as the app-instance identifier or purchase receipt that helps us find the relevant data. We will respond within the time required by law.
9. How to opt out and control your data
- Tracking on iOS: if you allowed tracking, you can turn it off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your iPhone or iPad.
- Ad personalization on Android: go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) to delete or reset your advertising ID or opt out of ads personalization.
- In-app Privacy choices: where consent is required (for example in the EEA/UK), open Settings → Privacy choices in Fourfold to review or change your ad consent.
- Remove ads entirely: purchasing Remove Ads or Fourfold Plus stops ads from being shown.
- Notifications: turn reminders off in the App’s settings or your device’s notification settings.
- Delete local data: uninstall the App to remove all progress stored on your device.
10. Security
Data sent between the App and our service providers is encrypted in transit. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we choose reputable providers and limit the data we collect.
11. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers, and our hosting provider may log standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the App.
